Benedicts Wildfire Hosta – Small: 8″ high by 22″ wide mound of bluish green foliage. Leaves 6 1/8″ long by 4 1/2″ wide. Leaves ovate-shaped slightly wavy, and smooth textured.

This hosta is a cultivar from Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan which was registered on his behalf by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2010. It is a medium size plant that grows about 14 inches high with a spread of around 22 inches. The medium to dark green foliage is ovate, moderately wavy, lightly twisted, shiny on top and has smooth texture with dark red petioles. Flowers with dark lavender stripes bloom from mid-August into October.
