Plant Type: Hostas
The 15″ leaves of ‘Blackjack’ are strongly corrugated and almost perfectly round. After emerging in the spring, the bluish foliage turns dark green. The heavy substanced leaves are often dome-shaped and slowly form a spreading, somewhat unruly mound about 30″ tall and 60″ across or more. Hosta ‘Blackjack’ blooms in mid summer with short scapes of fertile, white flowers.
Blackjack Hosta – Large rounded black-green, much darker than Black Beauty. Arching leaves. Emerges blue-green, turning dark green by mid-summer; heavy texture; rugose. Somewhat unruly in appearance.
