Go Back Dorset Clown

Hosta 'Dorset Clown'

Plant Type: Hostas

‘Dorset Clown’ looks like a Tardiana – spear-shaped leaves of incredible substance and good blue color. However, the leaves are beautifully streaked with creamy-yellow. Hosta ‘Dorset Clown’ has been highly coveted for years and up until 5 or 6 years ago, only the Benedicts’ inner circle of friends were lucky enough to own it. Still quite rare and a real trophy hosta for collectors and hybridizers alike. Quite slow growing, but the near white, fertile flowers that open in mid summer are well known for producing fantastic, blue variegated seedlings.
