Plant Type: Deciduous Shrubs

Weigela ‘Shining Sensation’ has that gorgeous shiny burgundy foliage we’ve come to expect from Weigelas like ‘Wine and Roses’ and ‘Midnight Wine’. It also has the tubular pink flowers in late spring and attract hummingbirds. Unlike prior Weigela, ‘Shining Sensation’ repeat blooms sporadically throughout the summer.

Growing & Maintenance Tips:

You can prune Weigela 'Shining Sensation' to keep it shaped and the size you like, but the long stems tend to arch when left on their own, giving the shrub an attractive weeping look.
