Hosta 'War Paint'
Hummingbird Icon

Plant Type: Hostas

A large hosta with unique tri-colored leaves. The leaves begin with a yellow center and dark green margin in the spring. Next, the center begins to darken to a pale green. In addition, the leaves are beautifully ruffled.

Large pointed and pie-crusted leaves emerge in the spring with a clear bright butter-yellow center surrounded by a dark green margin. The yellow center holds for a few weeks and then begins to darken. The process is not even and some portions turn chartreuse and others pale green.
