Ogon Tachi

This hosta forms a spreading clump of wavy, semi-upright, yellow leaves. In late summer it shoots up many tall scapes of attractive dark purple striped flowers. Dark purple striped flowers bloom in August on tall, vertical scapes. Orginally from Japan, this hosta was also once known as Hosta rectifolia 'Ogon' and is sometimes listed as Hosta rectifolia 'Ogon Tachi'. The tall scapes, upright habit, and fast growth rate make this hosta stand out.
